PLAYERS PLAYER OF YEAR.. |
|
The team as
had a mixed year.On a good day we play like league champions and have beaten some of the
best teams.Notably we beat Flexitallic away from home halting their unbeaten run.We drew
0-0 with local rivals Birstal St Pats.,both home and away. This last statistic hits at our
major problem .the lack of a natural goalscorer. The team as never really recovered from
the loss of Andy Weatherhead to the Saturday 1st teams we often lost games which we
dominated.Injuries and suspensions again took their toll and two of our best players Danny
Logan and Jason Stainburn both missed half a season each .Paul Bedford was our Player of
the 'Year and together with our most improved player Alex Davison provided most of our
most creative play.
Des Fozzard was the best of a number of good new players. The team spirit throughout the
season was excellent, but somebody please find us a striker. Nigel Clarke (Manager) |
